I've been a bad blogger. It just seems like too much trouble most of the time. But, here's a little update since August with pictures of the things I've finished.

Hitchhiker
Hitchhiker was finished in August. I absolutely love it!
Entrelac Scarf
The entrelac scarf was a lot of fun to knit & I love looking at it but it's rather scratchy so I doubt it will get much use. Which is really a shame considering how long it took me to knit it.

Mountain Stream Scarf
The Mountain Stream scarf  cowl was a fun quick knit & was one of my possible choices for the scarf swap but it is also a bit scratchy.
Daybreak
Daybreak! Awesome!! Loved knitting it although I had lots of angst. I tried several different yarn combinations before find the grey bamboo/wool blend. And then I worried that it would be too heavy used with the fingering weight. I have yarn to make another one for me. This was the one I sent to my scarf swap partner.

Crochet Bag

Fun, fun fun!! Carrie R. made me make this one.

Lace Cardigan
Had some trouble getting going on this lace cardi because the pattern only gives you the first 7 rows but I found someone on Ravelry who sent me her charts. Yippee! I love Ravelry!! I'm doing the bottom edging in 1x1 rib currently then plan to do the front & neck edge with the sleeves last so I can make them as long as possible. I'm trying really hard to stick with this cardigan until it's finished. But, I bought a new outfit yesterday for New Year's Eve & it really really needs a silvery shawl....

Last year I finished almost 30 projects! 2013 will be about half that many.

Oh yeah....yarn that I bought on the yarn crawl...
Cobasi

This yarn is planned for another Daybreak along with some Blue Heron Rayon Metallic.

Mimi Mink
This is going to be Crimson Cashmere Cowl...except it'll be Lime Mink Cowl. There are several patterns from that magazine that I really would love to make. Like the Basic Bolero. I love the fitted look of that bolero.

I'm so excited!

I have picked out my yarn & pattern for the scarf swap. Now...when is it due? Oh yea...between Oct 15 and Nov 1. The yarn is Fibranatura Yummy. The pattern is a secret.

Also, have chosen my yarn for the Folk Shawls Sampler Shawl KAL which starts Sept 1. I altered the pattern a bit to make it smaller because I keep reading that it comes out like 8' long. I'm going to cast on 247 sts instead of 401. The yarn is from my stash (yay again!). I have a little over 1000 yards of Jaggerspun Maine Line fingering left from the cone I bought years ago & used to make the Girasole. Color is Garnet. Mother will love this shawl. She's been hinting at needing a red shawl. So, I'm planning to get this done for her for Christmas. or her birthday-Jan 27.

Now, I counted & this brings me to 7 UFO's!! Yikes. I'm in a panic over this.

1-So, I am trying really hard to finish the Hitchhiker by Friday. I take Dad back to the cold doctors office that day. I'm going to be monogamous with Hitchhiker until it's finished. I may have to wear a bandaid on my right index finger to keep from poking a hole in it. I think I'm up to about 30 teeth.

2-I would really like to finish the Summer Cardigan before Sept 1 but that's not going to happen. The rows are 260+ sts long now & growing. I'm about 10 rows away from splitting for the underarms. I'm thinking of starting the decreases for the sleeves earlier than the pattern says. Instead of row 12 I think I'll start about row 5. That should take some of the bulk away shouldn't it?

3-The Box Lace Scarf may never get finished. It's rather boring. But, it's beautiful & the yarn is so soft!

4-The Entrelac Scarf is really close to being finished. Maybe 75%. But, it's not an easy knit for me so it doesn't get much time in the rotation.

5-The Tunisian blanket for CASA is a long way from finished. I'm going to run out of yarn & can't find anymore in that color so I have to figure out what to do. Since it's in panels I think I'll find a solid color that coordinates with it & make the remaining panels in that color. That's my plan. I did find it online.

Time for breakfast...aren't y'all glad?

Sweater-1, Me-0

Sweater-1
Me-0

Yep, I give up on the sweater design. FAIL!

I think the back turned out good but I just can't get the front to work out & it takes so much focus & concentration that I don't have the time to sit & figure it out. I am bummed. But, I'm not going to frog it. I'll let it sit & maybe next Fall the inspiration will come again. Or not.
